How to change the timezone in Ubuntu

1. Find a timezone file for your region in “/usr/share/zoneinfo/”.

2. Replace “/etc/localtime ” with the file you found.

For example,

sudo cp /usr/share/zoneinfo/Australia/Sydney /etc/localtime

Now, try type “date” in the terminal. It works!
